Religions for Peace builds peace by working to transform violent conflict, promote just and harmonious societies, advance human development, and protect the earth. At a time in history when religious is viewed increasingly as a source of division and violent conflict, Religions for Peace advances the concern for human flourishing found in all religions.
Religious organizations worldwide provide a vast network for the delivery of much-needed medical and social services to people directly or indirectly affected by HIV and AIDS, including the millions of OVC (orphans and vulnerable children) who have lost one or both parents.
The Religions for Peace network is actively involved in building the capacity and supporting the efforts of religious leaders and communities in:
ADVOCATING for an end to discrimination and denial
RESPONDING to the needs of people affected by HIV and AIDS
TRAINING that increases knowledge and changes attitudes
BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS to strengthen their effectiveness and reach
