Youth convened in Hiroshima and Kyoto, Japan, on 21-24 August 2006 to confront violence and advance shared security at the Religions for Peace Youth Assembly. They forged a concrete action plan for the next five years.
"We recognize that as religious youth we have the capacity to overcome the challenges we face by making a choice for hope. Inspired by the indomitable spirit we saw in Hiroshima and the experiences of our peers, we dedicate ourselves to building a global network of religious youth."
